Commercial Description:
Our deep, dark, full-bodied lager. A slightly bittersweet chocolate aroma with a malty body that hints at dark fruits. It’s complex and very enjoyable with a touch of roast finish. This may be the best beer we make all year long. The bottled version is called Killer Kapowski.

Bomber. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of roasted malt, pepper, fruity. Tastes of roasted malt, chocolate, touches of coffee, burnt licorice, some nice bitterness on the finish.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Pre ZBF thanks to Urbs.
Good black and tan looks. Fruity and malty with some slight bread. Faint chocolate and fruit but not enough complexity to really make it sing. A fairly basic Baltic porter but enjoyable all the same.

Attractive deep brown pout with a thin tan head. Nose and flavor were sweet and metallic. Iron like. That was overwhelming any other influence. Full mouthfeel.

Thin coffee aroma, very dark brown, thin tan head. Gentle smoky quality, full mouthfeel. Chocolate comes in the finish nd increases in density.

22oz Bottle. Nice, soft wheaty roasted aroma. A bit of charred tang, and some light bourbon. Calm. Pours a dark brown, molasses-caramel-colored, with a fringe edging sienna-orange and rim in dark khaki. Flavor is even more subtle than I expect. Somehow, a very traditional eastern European character develops first with cool lager crispness, then the pils character, before a more subtle and subdued roast and char. The slightly lower viscosity and the slightly higher carbonation makes this drinkable, but don’t quite give it the dense punch that I would expect from something like Koff. Still, fresh, flavorful, balanced, relatively dry, and the alcohol is very well integrate. A nice example. Nothing crazy. Thanks Steve!

Thanks to that mook below me for sharing this brew. I was actually less impressed by this than my fellow tickers. While the pour was handsome enough (though nothing particularly memorable or appealing), and the aroma inviting with its promise of malts and sweetness, I found the body to be way too thin for this style. Missing, too, was the lactic quality that I was anticipating and I found the result to be a fairly solid strong porter but not much more.

Thanks StFun. Pours a dark black with a light tan head. The nose is sweet, malty, roasty, some chocolate. Flavor is chocolaty, mildly oxidized, some sweetness, coffee roast, acetaldehyde. Palate is a tad thin and sweet.
