Aroma is of spice, citrus, wheat, lemon, and malt. Taste starts off with a lot of banana and wheat. There is a fair amount of lemon, and a helluva lot of banana in the flavor. There is also some notes of citrus, which were more present in the nose. Has a base of biscuity malt. Lingering spiciness. Light, and very drinkable. I liked it.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold color with a little cloudiness and a white head that leaves some lace. Aroma of banana, wheat, yeast, and clove, although more muted than a lot of hefes. The flavor follows suit well, with some lemon citrus present along with malts and subtle floral notes. Very mild spices also. Light-medium bodied, with a bready mouthfeel and big banana finish. Good hefeweizen. RAYBOY01 (1858), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Hazed golden pour with big white head and loads of foam. The latter gives off a really huge load of banana aroma (too much?) Banana upfront in the flavor, creamy texture, a ton of spicy hefe yeasty esters make this a pretty good Octoberfest offering. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2009 On tap at the FS Oktoberfest - This poured a hazy straw body with a fluffy white head. The aroma was a mix of fresh and very ripe bananas with a light spiciness, wheat bread, and a twist of lemon. The flavor carried all that, but the spices seemed to intensify, tasting almost cookie like. Very tasty hefe. Too bad the day was so dismal, leaving me wanting a barley wine.... msante79 (841), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA

Aroma is banana, clove, lemon, yeast and bready malts. Flavor is much the same with banana and clove with touch of citrus and yeast that is rounded out with bready malts. Mouthfeel was a little thick but had a nice spice note to it. Solid hefe. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Updated: Dec 14, 2009Draft on tap at the Oktoberfest celebration (Flossmoor, IL). Pours a nice wheaty gold, well hazed, with a decent white head that dies to a good film, laces pretty well. Aromas are a good estery banana, cloves don’t dominate this, a touch lemon, yeasty, flaked wheat, decent sweetness. Overall, solid and fresh. Initial is sessionable, a moderate sweetness of fruity banana and light lemon ester, a touch of cloves, a touch floral. Bready and flaked wheat malts provide maltiness, a faint spice with with good flavors and sessionability. Nothing cloying about this. Touch of vanilla, faint honey. I love a good fresh Hefe, and this beer is very good for it’s purpose. More spicy than most. Cheers!
