Commercial Description:
This robust, dark brown ale gets its rich flavor from seven different malts and three types of hops. The addition of hand-toasted oats and a generous portion of molasses give the Pullman Nut Brown Ale an incredible smoothness and quaffability.

this by far is the best brown ale i have ever had. made with molasses and 7 differnt malts poured the color of porter deep dark brown almost black small head but lots of lacing from this thick creamy monster of a brown.taste of molasses nuts and lots of malts aromas abound very complex. this from a small brew pub very impressive. better than rouges and you can get your own now that they started bottling if you can find it voted best small brew pub in 2006

22oz bottle @ Maproom, Chicago. One the better brown ales Ive come across. Very nice overwhelming complx malty aroma thats has some brown sugar & molassses sweetness. Pours a deep brown with some redness to it. Very flavorful, full of malts , sweetness, nutty. Very good brown ale & should be sought out by fans of the style

Bottle. Deep mahogany with a fleeting head. A medium strong aroma is fresh hazelnuts, peanut butter, with some chocolate and roasted malts, and earthy molasses. Smooth medium body. Nice flavors are on the sweet side, with toasted malts, earthy molasses, with some light grassy hops to finish. A solid brown ale here, enjoyed this one.

Bottle courtesy of the generous KieferUGA. Poured a very dark brown; dark for the style. Short lasting, small to medium sized, light brown head. Aroma of molasses, roasted oats, caramel and nuts. Flavor was surprisingly roasted focused and a bit hoppy for the style. Also present were caramel, nutty and chocolate notes. A small hint of sweetness. One of my favorite brown ales.

Pours dark brown with a light tan head. Smell is nutty, and coffee like and taste is chalky, nutty, and lightly of coffee. Bit thin body and flavorwise, but otherwise a good, drinkable brown ale. Didn’t knock my socks off, however.

22oz bomber, just released. What? I can’t believe how good this beer is. I’m a sucker for brown ales, but this takes the cake. Dark brown, great dense head, rich complexity. Stunning. Really.

Sampled from the full sampler at Flossmoor Station. Armoas of roasted malts and a touch of chocolate and/or coffee. Coca cola like head that is beautiful and inviting. Syrupy dark roasted and sweet malts and a touch of chocolate with some nutty undertones which I’m not really sure I tasted even. Finishes a bit bitter, but enjoyable and a great brew.
