Commercial Description:
This robust, dark brown ale gets its rich flavor from seven different malts and three types of hops. The addition of hand-toasted oats and a generous portion of molasses give the Pullman Nut Brown Ale an incredible smoothness and quaffability.

Draught at the brew pub. Clear dark brown with red highlights. Almost opaque. Head was tam and laced the glass. Smelled of chocolate, toffee, and toasted bread. Chocolatey and roasted malt flavor. Medium bodied and slightly sweet with a smooth mouth feel.

Draught at brewpub. Rich, sweet, dark chocolate aroma with some hop. Black, opaque body with a light tan head that lasts, though without much lace. Nice, smooth brew with considerable flavor. Oatmeally. Extremely enjoyable.

i had to ask the good looking woman working the bar if she got the wrong beer. i thought it was a stout in front of me. this was almost black with a light brown head. even had a hint of coffee in the nose. caramel aroma with some light syrup or molasses too. great rich velvetysweetness, definite molasses flavor and light chocolate with a great caramel aspect. a nutty roast finish with a background hop presence.

On tap at Piece. Poured damn near black with a creamy cap of tight caramel head. Coffee and darker chocolate maltage, dried coconut, and mild herbal hops provide a seductive aroma. Lots of dark chocolate at the core... with coffee flavor and bitterness at the backend... herbal hops, molasses and woodiness are also in there. Lower carbonation and powerfully smooth on the palate... bitterness was mild and hit all the right tastebuds. Bitter coffee on the finish. This was an excellent brown!

On tap at the brewpub. The body was very dark brown with roby highlights. There was a khaki head on top. The aroma had some chocolate and fresh oatmeal. There was also a bit of tobacco. The taste had light chocolate with a little maple and some iced tea. A very light body.

Fairly decent brown ale. Chestnut body, small tan head. Aroma was roasted nuts, caramel, mocha, and Whoppers. Medium body with smooth, sticky mouthfeel. Flavor was slightly sweet with a nice bitterness at the end.
