Earthy, soapy hop aroma. Very APA for an IPA. Hoppy, but not exactly bitter. Very well balanced, with some diacetyl perhaps, that works out quite well here. Easy drinker, medium bodied. Well done. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 22, 2009 In short: A juicy fruity IPA. Good beer even if a little sweet.
How: Bottle 22oz, white wax-top. Sent to me by ygtbsm94. Thanks a lot Brad.
The look: Almost clear dark golden topped by a large off-white head
In long: Nice nose of orange and pine tree cones hops. A well malted IPA, moderately toasted malts, juicy light caramel. The beer is rather fruity with citrus fruits, orange peels, apricots, and more. Sweetness gets bothersome before the end of the bottle, not dry enough for me. Carbonation is a bit too soft for the style and the body is a bit too oily. This is a good beer but this might be my least favourite hoppy Floosmoor so far. You know life is treating you too well when you are disappointed by drinking a very good beer. But you would never guess that life has been treating me well by looking at me. If anything, if you see me you’ll ask me how much I sell my pencils for. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Big dried pine and tropical orange aromas with grassy toffee undertones throughout. Soft resiny citric-pineapple bitterness balances on a light sweet malt foundation. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. This can certainly satisfy a hop craving… riversideAK (2803), Shoreline, Washington, USA

Nose is of citrus with lighter fruit notes, pepper, and floral notes as well. Some underlying caramel malts as well create a little sweetness in the nose. The pour is a copper with a nice head and good lace. The flavor is hoppy and fruity initially. Some citrus and pepper. Caramel comes in and then bitter resins finish it out. Smooth with a hint of heat in the finish. Good. argo0 (7025), Washington DC, USA

Aroma is medium sweet, catty, some grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, pineapple, pine, some cattiness. Medium body, some stickiness, light resin. Narnad (726), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 29, 2009 White Wax 22 oz bottle special. Pours a copper with some light ruby notes, huge frothy head with a low carbonation rate for the beer. Aroma is a very heavy resiny, pine note, light caramel malt sweetness, some grassy and floral notes to end the scent. A very fully hoppy hits the tongue with lots of pin resin up front, light citrus in the middle, a lot of sweet malt at the end. Beer is very smooth, light notes of alcohol at the very end and it leaves great lacing on the glass. Overall a very tasty IIPAthat has a very well balanced, bitter flavor.
