On tap during Hopfest 2009. Wonderful nose on this one. A punch of hops to the face. I got strong earthy notes, wood, floral components, some dank, pepper, orange, and some toasty spicy notes underneath. Poured dark amber - with a decent foamy head and good lace. Strong earthy woody hops. Bitter, but not astringent. I thought I got a touch of rye. Light spice, pepper. The earthy, leafy hops continue throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed this and it was pretty much the beer of the night for me.
