Draft at the Seattle International Beerfest 2008; Nose of light allspice and cloves and candi sugar sweetnes along with some light yeast; Clear brown with a smalll tan head; flavor is light spiciness, light hop bitterness, slight sweetness, and a soapy note; finish is light hop bitterness.

Had at the international beer festival in seattle. Pours a deep amber brown only slightly translucent. Slightly bubble offwhite film on top. Aroma like lavender scented bath soap. Flavor mimics aroma - like lavender bath soap. Took about 5 sips of this then decided to dump it. When I was about to dump it some guy yelled at me about dumping "good beer" so I told him to take it. He drank some then began gagging uncontrolably. Two other people nearby saw it and guessed correctly what beer he had drank. Next thing I know, I am engaged in a conversation with 10-12 other people about how badly this beer tasted. It literally smells and tastes like that soap your wife got at bath and body works. One of the worst drinks I’ve ever tasted.

On tap at PIB in Portland 2008--Poured a gritty brown body with a small off-white head. Spicy, pine or heather nose. Sweet, gnarley and original. Sharp spicy pine flavor that tingled tongue. sweet, mildly cloying finish. Subtle tartness. Mostly sweet and spicy. Interesting.

PIB 2008. Big spicy nose on this, i’m not sure what they were, but a peppery note like grains of paradise, clove, coriander, and some citrus like lime. Very estery, floral, and crisp. Pours hazy amber with a tall white head. Very well balanced and built beer.
