BCTC. Amber red with ring head. Spicy mildly sour caramel aroma. Spicy caramel mild sour fruit wood flavor. Nice effervescent carbo. Ok. Not really sour.

Tap at BCTC 2009: Murky burgundy ruby pour with a tan film of head. Very fruity aroma with notes of raspberry, sweet oak/tannic wood. Fairly slick on the palate. Has a very tannic flavor with some slightly astringent vegetal character. Has an inky bitterness as well. Close to being decent.

BCTC’09. Brewer said they used their Aviator Irish Red recipe as a base for this beer. Unfortunately, they make an amazing Irish Red and not such a special Flanders Red. Dark copper, dirty mahogany color, with not much red to it. Aroma is aceto, wet wood, and a sweet candied bark aspect, not as good as it sounds though. Right away you could tell the aceto is just not working in tandem with the other parts. Flavor is faintly acetic-like aceto, with that dirty cherry (which is good) and not much else. Needs a thicker malt backbone and in general it is a bit too allover the place. But still a doable sour.

[BCTC 09] Murky brown red color with a small, off white head and light lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, vinegar, wood, nuts, and wild yeast. Taste of cherries, wood, some vanilla, red wine vinegar, and lightly tart finish.

On tap @ BCTC 2009. Pours a maroonish red. Nice flanders aroma, sour, some funkiness to it. Taste doesnt really equal the aroma. Sort of flat with not much going on. Big respect to Tim for the Attempt
