brettpace (174), Northridge, California, USA Oct 1, 2007 A little to sweet for my taste, I prefer a hoppier Barley Wine. This had a fruity taste, and the aroma was also very fruity. I wasnt that impressed with this beer. However, the ABV is well hidden.
Rciesla (910), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Oct 9, 2008 Pours a dark brown body with a quickly diminishing head. Dark fruit dates, plum, apple, caramel. loads of bourbon, vanilla and oaky. Aromas of wood, whiskey, vanilla, caramel, nuts, and dark fruits. Tastes of vanilla, raisins, wood, lighter whiskey, brown sugar, and caramel. I really enjoyed this one! egajdzis (3022), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2008 Poured a murky chestnut color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon oak, dried fruits, caramel malts, nuts, butter, vanilla, coconut, and alcohol. Taste of light roast, caramel, vanilla, charred wood, bourbon, dark fruits, and light alcohol in the finish. Really nice, thanks Steve!
