A little to sweet for my taste, I prefer a hoppier Barley Wine. This had a fruity taste, and the aroma was also very fruity. I wasnt that impressed with this beer. However, the ABV is well hidden.

Oct 9, 2008 Pours a dark brown body with a quickly diminishing head. Dark fruit dates, plum, apple, caramel. loads of bourbon, vanilla and oaky. Mouth feel is thin with lots of whiskey.

Sep 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a brown colour with off white head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, alcohol. Good thick palate. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, alcohol. Very good.

Aug 19, 2008 Very complex and hoppy. A lot of different aromas and flavors, but clearly a new favorite. What a kick at 10%!!!

Aug 13, 2008 12oz bottle acquired in trade with goldtwins (thanks!!!). Poured a dark brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of wood, whiskey, vanilla, caramel, nuts, and dark fruits. Tastes of vanilla, raisins, wood, lighter whiskey, brown sugar, and caramel. I really enjoyed this one!

Aug 13, 2008 Poured a murky chestnut color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon oak, dried fruits, caramel malts, nuts, butter, vanilla, coconut, and alcohol. Taste of light roast, caramel, vanilla, charred wood, bourbon, dark fruits, and light alcohol in the finish. Really nice, thanks Steve!
