The head fades after a couple of minutes leaving behind nice lacing. Heavy hops in the nose with both pine and floral notes. A little citrus in there too. It has a certain raw greenness to it that I can’t quite place. Medium carbonation with a rich mouthfeel for a pale ale. Malt flavor is a little biscuity. Hops have a grassy taste. Overall this one is pretty middle of the road for a American pale ale. beerchugger (307), Colorado, USA

The taste was nicely bitterly hoppy. Definitely some floral notes in the flavor as well. curly (742), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 11, 2009 PPWD Trade Show. This was OK. I liked it better than the Old Scratch Amber, but then again I don’t like ambers. This beer was very floral both in nose and in flavor. The gentleman who served it mentioned that they use the Cascade hops, the same hops that they use in Bells 2 Hearted Ale (although these are completely different beers). I don’t know why he used the comparison. The beer is easy drinking but not one that I would want to carry. fromred2green (170), , Ohio, USA

Aroma is hoppy, as is typical of pale ale. Flavor is slightly hoppy and citrus, and very balanced compared to the aroma. Pretty good beer, but sort of bland. seanbhudson (54), , California, USA

Just much weaker compared to the IPA which is how it should be. maxpizzo (44), Italy
