Exactly what it claims to be, a more hoppy pale ale. A good pale ale with a great label and consistent taste. Botnik (110), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 26, 2008 24oz bottle, Amber with a thin off white head. Mildly bitter citrus, but without the complexity of a well hopped ale. A Christmas gift from my in laws, I couldnt be more pleased by their effort. jcr (1182), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 22, 2008 Bottle. Muted aroma and flavors along with the balance scale tipping toward the malts instead of the hops. Clear, dark amber body with an average-size, frothy, off-white head that dissolves quickly. The aroma has light hints of caramel, dough and grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. Medium body with a thin texture and lively carbonation.Certainly drinkable enough, but better pale ales are readily available.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 17, 2008 Bottle, drank while finishing a final paper for class. Pours orange amber with a pretty cream colored head. Aroma of citrus and esters. Flavor is surprisingly light, given that my only FD comparison was the double version of this. Mid-palate features slightly strange paper and grass. Finishes with hops, without the bitterness. Hmm, for me easy drinking means boring. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Bottle. Mild citrus and hops aroma. Reddish amber body, small off-white head. Very malty flavor, with citrus. Quite different for an APA, the hops are noticeably restrained. Still, a slightly bitter finish. Pleasant. MrBunn (1551), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours a coppery amber with a smallish head and aromas of citrus and caramel malt. Flavor has a medium dose of citrus hops that surround a caramel malt base. There is a little bit of a dry and bitter edge to this that borders on astringent on some sips. This is OK, but uninspiring. ~Sweet scent with generous amount of citrus hops.
~Woodsy pine flavor, bitter citrus. Pleasant taste.
~Light feel, dry bitter finish.
~For me a unique pale ale. I like the strong, dry, hop character. Good brew.
