First Impression: A pretty, aromatic beer with a very steadfast head. Aroma is wheat and bread. Visuals are deep, clear copper with an impressive white head. Taste is agreeable with a bit of added tea flavor. Palate is fairly faint with a long sour aftertaste, but not very intense. Second Impression: a good beer for a certain palate: one without a horror movie sensibility - good flavor and finish, but a bit calm for me.

A slightly hoppy aroma but not as much as I would expect from the commercial description. It was well balanced and had a nice malt flavor. A good drinker but not great. gonzo46and2 (108), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2008 Fantastic pale ale. Good session ABV. Nose full of hops. Tart and citrusy when cold and as it warms to room temp you get a big burnt malt character. Not dry on the tongue but a bit of astringent hoppiness. Could drink cases of this beer and come back for more. Grapefruit, pine, oak, grass, lemon... Clear amber ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Sparse retention. The aroma offers lots of grapefruit with lesser notes of dark raisin and a hint of pine. Medium-bodied with a 2% milk mouthfeel and ticklish carbonation. Moderately bitter grapefruit. Yeasty, tart finish. Pleasant; drinkable, but not outstanding. OllieBBommel (36), Netherlands

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 7, 2008 A clear amber colored bear, with a nice beige head. An aroma of caramel, pineapple and nice hoppy. The taste is slightly sweet, with peach, malt and hop. It has a medium bitter and dry after taste. Not bad at all. emerica56 (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2008 Pours a amber color with a thin head that fades kind of quick and leaves some laceing but nothing impressive. the nose is malty and you can smell the bitter hops. the flaovr is nice and bitter with rich caramel malt and pale malt. The finish is very bland but still refreshing for a pale ale. You can taste the bitter hops only when the beer is on the palate, after it slides down your throat you lose all the bitter flavors.
