Flavour is some sweet malts, rather fruity hops. Thin on the mid-palate. The finish has some bitterness. robforbes (1099), Bremerton, Washington, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 28, 2008 12oz bottle: caramel amber liquid with a satin, creamy, yellow head. Aromas of malt, fresh baked bread, pineapple and citrus hop character, light fruit, and a distant raisin lingering around someplace. Overall hoppy with some caramel malt. Fruit salad, citrus, caramel and licorice. Nutty in the middle and at the end. Hops carry you through from beginning to the long finish where the hops turn grassy and the caramel starts to stale just a tad. As the name says, it is a Classic Pale Ale but that also means there is nothing really to make it stand above the other many pales. Don’t get me wrong it is good, but so are many others. They are PERFECT summertime beers. This one had all the qualities you would expect from a good APA.. especially that prototype hop bite. This one was a little darker in color than I expected, but that was a plus for it in my book. toukopouko (31), Salo, Finland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Bottle, 33cl. Light amber color, with a generous cloudy white head. Very fresh floral aroma with huge amounts of Cascade pushing through - a big hype for the flavor. I’m sad to say the flavor itself doesnt reach the expectations the aroma lifted, but dont get me wrong, it’s not bad. A very hoppy flavor with caramel malt, pretty standard. Medium bodied, with little carbonation, slightly on the watery side, a definite summer-brew. austone (1039), Turku; Pori, Finland
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Pretty caramel amber, quite thick pale head.
Nicely hopped aroma with lots of grapefruit. Flavor is fruity hops and caramel malt with a bitter, a little nutty finish. Medium bodied with strong, but soft carbonation. Perhaps a bit watery, but definitely enjoyable. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
