zappafan99 (213), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA May 4, 2008 Updated: Jul 4, 2008 This pale ale has a sour malt with hops flavor. The hops has a fruity-soap taste. Average head. Won’t purchase again, the competition is better at the same price.
mesperon (8), Jersey City, New Jersey, USA does not count Jul 17, 2008 Smooth, bold floral aroma, which mirors the initial floral, slightly piney hope flavor. Finishes with a citrussy twang that just bites the roof of the mouth. Hops are great, but not overpowering. Malt is present, but not too sweat or bready. Nicely balanced towards the hoppy side. TEJA (27), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 14, 2008 Marvelous foam. Nice amber colour. Lots of hops aroma and some caramell. Some caramell in taste but no sweetness. Not as bitter as normal american pale ales but lots of hops taste but not over powering, just plesant. Lots of taste but somewhat thin body. jmw141 (71), Canton, Illinois, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bottle pour from mix-pack. Pours a dark amber with average head. Aroma of caramel malt, very sweet. Some hop aroma. Flavor is bitter from beginning to end. Tons of hop flavor. Light and dry in the mouth. ucusty (803), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 12, 2008 Dark amber pour with some reddish tones. Bland aroma. Not much by way of malts and little thin, but the hops show through. scrizzz (452), kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 10, 2008 clear amber with a modest one finger head that soon degraded to nearly nothing. sweetbread aroma with a touch of cinnamon. initial blast of hops provides balance, finishes malty with a moderate weighted milky caramel finish. clean and tasty.
