FishManLA (149), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA May 5, 2008 Clear amber color with a small but somewhat persistent head and nice lacing. Nose of malts with some grassyness. Taste is OK, but it has a rather up-front sourness that’s just plain sour, without being terribly interesting. It’s sort of like the beer contains lemon juice. Subtle short-lived hoppy finish. This is certainly better than almost anything a giant macro puts out, but it’s below average for an American craft brewed pale ale.
Pinball (236), Allerød, Denmark Jul 19, 2008 ipa style aroma, strong.. looks okay, very fresh flavor, koriander? perhaps a little watery, but nice. lots of taste in this one, like a good IPA, just a little more breadth to the flavors. nice. Ottima birra. rds (69), USA Jul 19, 2008 A traditional pale ale, with a lovely amber tone topped by a short tan head, bit a bit too hoppy fo r me. Reflection yielded more bitter notes and did not encourage further consumption. mesperon (8), Jersey City, New Jersey, USA does not count Jul 17, 2008 Smooth, bold floral aroma, which mirors the initial floral, slightly piney hope flavor. Finishes with a citrussy twang that just bites the roof of the mouth. Hops are great, but not overpowering. Malt is present, but not too sweat or bready. Nicely balanced towards the hoppy side. TEJA (27), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 14, 2008 Marvelous foam. Nice amber colour. Lots of hops aroma and some caramell. Some caramell in taste but no sweetness. Not as bitter as normal american pale ales but lots of hops taste but not over powering, just plesant. Lots of taste but somewhat thin body.
