A slight amount of toasted bread. Decent malt and the bit of toasting. Good with pizza. Suitable carbonation. Decent sweetness, not too sweet. A bit drying.About what I expected from this brewery.

There’s a sharpness to the aroma and the taste in this brew, but it actually isn’t unpleasant. It makes this one not quite as blandly sticky as some O-fests can be. Caramel color, a bit of caramel malts too, for that matter, with a lively fruitiness in the middle with some hops to give it body. Not bad. bigrond (1054), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2008 I thought this was a pretty decent Marzen. Not one of the best but certainly can holds its own. If your a fan of Flying Dog, I think you’ll like this one. hellbilly (1532), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 20, 2008 on tap @ papago... vibrant clear copper color with a frothy uncooked almond tinted white head and some actual drippy lacing. the aroma is very faint... maybe some stale grain, light caramel, bruised apple and a bit of delicious skunkiness. lots of caramel maltiness in the flavor but not sugary... very dry throughout with spice, dry earthiness and prickly hops on the finish. light bodied, highly carbonated, easy drinking and mediocre. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2008 Pours a clear ruby amber, almost as if a small amount of cherry syrup was added to color the beer. Small head fades fast leaving the apple fruitiness and caramel malt aromas to waft out freely. Flavor is full of caramel sweetness, some nutty flavors in the middle and noble hops to bitter and finishes with a nice malt finish. Low carbonation and light on mouth feel. Overall a decent beer but there a lot more oktoberfests from other breweries which are far better. mmmbeer (762), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 18, 2008 (12 oz. bottle served in shaker on Nov. 8, 2008) Poured 20% murky hearty amber/copper, 2 finger head formed and laced! Aroma of malt, nuts, and hot cornbread from the oven. Hits the mouth with a nice medium body, malt is definately there and it’s very enjoyable, finish is crisp, has a small note of hops, and is full. Another solid brew. lithy (1750), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 17, 2008 Reddish orange body covered by a thin off white head that settles instantly despite visible carbonation. Caramel, honey, biscuit aroma. Dry grainy malt flavors, not especially sweet, even bitter with a hop finish. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
