Commercial Description:
Dogtoberfest is a unique beer containing five premium malts. This lager draws its influence from the Vienna Marzen or Oktoberfest style. It is rich and malty with a sweet aroma and deep mahogany color.

No head or lacing, copper amber color. Fruity, low nose. Sweet, almost grape like first flavor, with bitter sickly sweet floral hops following. Light mouthfeel. Not awful, but I’ll avoid in the future.

I think this does a pretty good job for style. Very clear burnt amber with no head. Toasted caramel malt, corn aroma. Some biscuit in the flavor, sweet malt, and a bit of hop joins for the finish. Not bad. One of the better octoberfests i’ve had this season.

Single from Three Cellars. My Favorite Oktober(Dogtober)frst beer yet. May not be the best example of a Marzen but i found it to be more balanced and easy to drink then others. With faint malt and caramel, hints of honey,

Pours a dark amber with a thin head. Very light aroma, caramel, toasty malt, a hint of honey sweetness. Rich malty flavour, some bitterness to the finish.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with a medium off white head that diminishes rather quickly. The aroma is a very faint malt with caramel. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a rich malt and a sweet finish. Easy to drink, a well done oktoberfest from Flying Dog.

Pours a dark mahogany amber with an off-white head that sticks around. Flavor has hints of honey, and caramel malt, and also hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Another good varietal beer from flying dog.

Bottle poured to Glass. Orange brew with off white head. Malty aroma. Tingly acidicness on the sides of the tounge.

(Bottle). Semi-sweet malty/fruity aroma. Copper color, small head. Sweet and tangy taste profile, ripe apples, with a touch of hops bite. Malt and breadiness in the finish. Quite nice.
