Commercial Description:
Dogtoberfest is a unique beer containing five premium malts. This lager draws its influence from the Vienna Marzen or Oktoberfest style. It is rich and malty with a sweet aroma and deep mahogany color.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a thin caramel colored head. Little aroma and not much to it. Little bit of caramel malt. Flavor is bland and there really isn’t much there. Not really worth revisiting.

Bottle. Extremely clear dark amber with a small head and some lacing. Aroma is simple caramel malt. Sweet flavor, not bad, but uninteresting. Light to medium feel, average carbonation. Not bad but I won’t search for this.

Bottle from Market Street in Allen, TX. Pours an Amber orange with beige head. Not much aroma, some slight spice and caramel malt. Flavor is nice, caramel malt, a little spice, semi-sweet and a subtle hint of alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium body with high carbonation....A very nice beer.

Bottle: Poured a hazy orange with little white head. The aroma is sweet caramel and malt. Taste is sweet caramel with a nice hoppy side.

12 oz bottles. Pours a rich copper/orange color with a beige head that doesn’t last very long but laces nicely. Nose is of caramel malt. Nothing very outstanding. Flavor is grainy, and malty with a bit of sweetness in there. Not the greatest Octoberfest I have had but I could sit down and drink a case of these easily. Not bad. I would say it’s worth a shot if you are curious.

Amber copper in color with an almost metallic palate. Spice, carmel, and a nice bottom fermented hop flavor. A solid marzen. Bring on the fall beers!!!

Dark copper color with a thick head. Sweet grain aroma. Strong, clean grain taste. Lightly bready. Floral bitterness to finish. A very solid Oktoberfest that actually has some flavor.

Well, I’m actually quite surprised at this, as I’ve tried a number of flying dog brews, all of them pretty good from what I remember, but this is just kinda blah. It pours a clear red, with very little head. It has actually a really nice sweet aroma, with hints of flowers. The taste is just not there though. It’s also sweet, almost too much. I guess if anything this could make a decent after dinner beer.
