Oct 27, 2007 12 ounce bottle. Shaker glass. Amber with a thin head. Light malty aroma. Taste was sweet malt and caramel with some hops and perhaps a hint of spice. Nothing spectacular, but highly drinkable.

A lot of malty sweetness, butterscotch. Grassy hoppiness.

Oct 26, 2007 (Bottled) Clear amber with a small head. Grainy-malty aroma with toffee and some diacetyl, plus tiny hints of alcohol. Toffee-malty, somewhat roasty-ashy flavor with medium bitterness and hints of sourness. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. A diacetylic, but malty Märzen. For some reason, I was expecting an aromatic-hoppy brew.

Oct 25, 2007 This beer has a great aroma. The people at Flying Dog did not do a bad job on the aroma. There is a great smell of spices and malt in the aroma. The beer has a wonderful smell, and I have not found this smell in any of the other Oktoberfest beers out there. The aroma is definitely worth enjoying. The flavor does well in continuing with the sweet caramel malt flavor, but where are those damn spices? I wish they had been in the beer. This is an autumn beer, I am thinking spices, and herbs in my beer. Something that will warm me up a bit. The flavor is decent. Nothing too special, but pretty decent I must say. The appearance is your typical Oktoberfest caramel brown color. Looks okay. As this beer warms the caramel flavors and aromas are just coming out like crazy. Still, I wish I tasted more spice. Decent brew, and one of the best Oktoberfest beers out there.

Oct 24, 2007 Bottle. Light brown color, surprising aroma of wheat, grass, spice, malt. Taste is similar with a little metal, skunk, decent bitter finish. Pretty blah.

Oct 22, 2007 I kinda made the error of opening this before chilling, and it came across as flat as a result. But I’m adjusting for that factor quite objectively, thank you very much. Standard O-fest stuff, so recommended.

Oct 22, 2007 Pours a dark opaque reddish brown color with a fizzy off white head. Has hints of caramel, spice, and soapy malts. Finishes clean and warm on the tongue.
