Commercial Description:
Dogtoberfest is a unique beer containing five premium malts. This lager draws its influence from the Vienna Marzen or Oktoberfest style. It is rich and malty with a sweet aroma and deep mahogany color.

Bottled. Clear dark amber coloured, small but lasting head. Caramel malty aroma. Bitterness in flavour, malt presence. Easy drinking.

Amber in color. A sweet smell with some faint spices. The first taste is highly carbonated sweetness. Almost like sweet corn. I do get some spices at the end.

12oz - Aroma of mild toasted malts and not much else. Pours transparent copper with a medium head and good lacing. Flavor is toasted malt and caramel. Palate is thin and a little sticky. Just boring.

Looks like evey american oktoberfest beer, except this beer retains a head. Aroma is weak but could actually detect a hop scent. More flavor from this version than most other brewers and is actually drinkable. Not bad for a oktoberfest but still not that impressed.

I often get all snooty and whatnot when drinking what;s called an Oktoberfest and it doesn’t fall withing whatever strnge guidelines my brain has matted out for them. Being that this is a dogtoberfest, no problemo. Nice and malty with just enogh hops to make it interesting, but not overblown for a traditional dogtoberfest. Pretty nice and since I polished off a 6pk in good time, well ....

12oz bottle. Cant remember all the specifics on this one, but it was very mainstream tasting, lacking in heavy malts. watered down and too much hop for a Oktober Fest imo.

(Draught) Pours a clear copper body with a small white head. Aroma of light grassiness, caramel, and cereal. Flavor of sweet corn, caramel, nuts, and some soapiness.
