| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 6, 2007 The body is a quite pretty caramelly copper with an off-white fluffy head with a bit of lasting power. The aroma is honey and cornflakes with a backing of a bit of noble hops. The flavor is sweet, but quaffable with a low bitterness that’s probably perceived as lower than the IBUs would suggest because of the maltiness of the beer. Not a bad Oktoberfest. Not the best, but not bad. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Nose is mild spicy-sweet dry cereal; akin to Honey-Nut Cheerios. Flavor is earthy-spiced malted cereal and molasses with some quick peppery notes, just a tinge of alcohol, and some metallic sourness. Palate is fairly smooth, slightly watery, medium-bodied and has some tingle on the finish. Pretty nice session marzen. theviolet (168), New York, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2007 Malty aroma with light fruits and some sweetness. Fizzy bright orange body with a small but lasting white head. Immediate taste is of malt and crackers, slight hop bitterness in the finish. Would be a nice fall session beer for sure. Not too deep, but enjoyable and interesting enough to keep me occupied. I like it. Very balanced palate, nothing overwhelming. Really good stuff, will drink for sessions this fall for sure. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 4, 2007 Appearance: Pours a clear, medium copper body with a creamy white head.
Smell: Light toasted malt aroma with a great deal of sweet-smelling grape juice in there.
Taste: Flavor of toasted, almost cracker-like malts with only a negligible sweetness. Again, there’s those grapes. Mild bitterness on the quick finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: The runt of the Oktoberfest litter. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Copper pour, little head, and a touch of lacing. Smell is honey, malt, graininess, yeast. Taste is a bit of tart maltiness, with a thinnish body to go along. Nothing bad, but not spectacular either. A very average beer. michael-pollack (2687), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured copper/amber in color with a small, fizzy, tan head that diminished almost immediately. No lacing. Clear. Very sparkling. Flavor is extremely malty. Tastes of malts, nuts, oak, leaves, earth, dough, and wood. Light to medium body. Tingly, thinish texture. Lively carbonation. Very malty, salty finish. Overall, an ok Oktoberfest.
