Commercial Description:
Dogtoberfest is a unique beer containing five premium malts. This lager draws its influence from the Vienna Marzen or Oktoberfest style. It is rich and malty with a sweet aroma and deep mahogany color.

12 oz. bottle, label lists alc. at 5.3% not 5.8, has a clear red-ruby pour with some brown in the mix, some effervescence and an off-white and darker bubbled one to two finger head, aromas of roasted malt and caramel, little malt sweetness, faint earthiness and grass fragrances, flavors is the same as the aromas, some malt sweetness on the palate but the drink finishes dry with no sweetness, medium mouth feel, a nice drink but not outstanding or spectacular.

Bottle pours amber/copper color with off white head. Aroma is really not there. A little touch of brown sugar is all I get. Nonremarkbable mouthfeel. Flavor is nonremarkable as well with brown sugar, caramel, and finishes semi sweet. Just an all around basic beer. Nothing special.

HH’s O-FEST TASTING: Earthy, stale malt aroma. Maybe a wiff of sweet caramel. Something vegetable-like in the taste and its a bit off putting. Not real great.

Poured a crystal clear dark copper with tall, foamy tan head. There was a good amount of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass while checking out the appearance. The aroma was a nice malty bread one. The flavor was a mild malt sweetness with a slightly dry finish with a bit of a hops bitterness. This could be a session beer.

Bottle. Poured red brown with medium white head. Sweet malty aroma and a whiff of cabbage. Medium malty flavour with an unfortunate tang of sulphur. Lekker malt finish. Not overly sweet, which was my fear.

Week old rating: Full feeling lager, light reddish brown with decent head. Very malty and spicy. Well made, but not my taste. Reminds me why I don’t like octoberfest beers.

Has a deep reddish brown color with small off-white head and a sweet caramel malt aroma. Big malt taste with a hint of raisin in the finish.

Pours a nice amber, off white head and good carbonation. Nose of sweet malt and a hint of caramel. Big malt flavor mid palate but then finishes light. It could be easy to drink more than one of these. One of the better domestic offerings.
