Commercial Description:
Dogtoberfest is a unique beer containing five premium malts. This lager draws its influence from the Vienna Marzen or Oktoberfest style. It is rich and malty with a sweet aroma and deep mahogany color.

THERES A NICE RICH HEAD ON THIS DARK GOLDEN BEER BUT IT SUPPRISINGLY HAS LITTLE TO NO AROMA. IT LACKS A ROBUST FLAVOR THAT I HAVE COME ACCUSTOM TO WITH A BEER THAT HAS AN APPERANCE LIKE THIS ONE. BUT STILL, ITS NOT AT ALL WATERY, QUIETE GOOD MALTY BEER BUT A LITTLE TO LIGHT IN THE HOPS SECTION FOR ME, NOT GREAT BUT STILL RECOMENDED.

Deep orange color. Faint hop aroma with some maltiness. Sweet with bitter aftertaste. Some baked bread. Not a repeat.

Six pack. This was a very nice beer. I wasn’t expecting it to be this good.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Appearance: Pours a very clear amber with a very foamy, light tan head. Okay head retention. Aroma: Toasted malt notes and a slight hint of caramel. Nothing spectacular. Taste: Overly hoppy for the style, some biscuit notes, and an off vegetal note. This one isn’t in balance at all. Kind of a mess quite frankly. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel. Thankfully it has a short finish. Overall: Just another in a long line of poor beers by Flying Dog. Skip this one.

Amber pour with a light tan head. Aroma was caramel, malty and sweetness. It had caramal flavor, slightly sweet malt. It left a nice caramel sweet taste in my mouth.

Colour... orange-amber with a roughly 1/4 inch head. Nose... sourly grainy! Palate... moderate C02, sweet malt, a mildly grainy edge, some hop bite in the back palate. Tastes better than it smells.
