Jul 24, 2009 Bottle. Perfect pour - rich in color and full of solid foam. Rich but not overpowering aroma of malt and solid citrus. Drinks with quite the full character, sharp and manly, yet still drinkable. Exceptionally smooth for 11.5%, but clearly a strong ale. Nicely assembled strong ale. Perfect night cap. Jul 22, 2009 Great cloudy orange pour with an off white head with a little lace. Hoppy on the start with a great mouthfeel. ends with a slight bitterness mixed more so with a sweet flavor.

Jul 21, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a creamy, off-white head. A very hop laden nose. Alcohol, a slight medicinal note, and some sweet malt in the back. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. You can feel the alcohol in this one. Subdued fruity malt, bitter hops, a herbal note, some malt sweetness, and an alcohol punch on the palate. Medium-long, bitter finish. I found this one to be somewhat out of balance and overall not that great.

Jul 20, 2009 Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep amber-ruddy pour. Thin head. The aroma is fairly hoppy. Lots of light pine and a lot of very sweet chewy pale malt. There is a prominent kiss of crystal malt. Chewy and sweet with a soft chewy/spicy hoppiness. The alcohol is quite perceptible and the palate is sticky and quite chewy. Meh... a big, sticky, boozy beer.

Jul 19, 2009 amber red pour with slight white head. Aroma is very hoppy, sweet and resinous. Sweet malty upfront and nice hop presence. alcohol warming in the middle and a bit off bitter booze in the finish. sticky and really quite good. Easily The best flying dog in existence.

Jul 17, 2009 0,33 l bottle, bought in Cracked Cattle, Amsterdam. Alluring appearance with an amber-reddish-copper body with a medium, creamy tan head. Fantastic resiny spruce aroma of the american hops with some caramel. Oily body with a ton of powerful but well balanced , intense resiny hop, fine caramel flavor, well hidden alcohol. The strong hop dominates the aftertaste with grapefruit flavor. Strong personality with cogent character.

Jul 14, 2009 Bottle. Very rich malty aroma. RAisins, rum and cherries. Citrusy hops. Big, sweet flavor. Roasted malts evolves into slightly sour, bitter grape aftertaste.

Very hoppy fruity pine aroma. Amber coloured very hoppy and fruity with some dryness and bitterness in a crisp lasting finish.
