Commercial Description:
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

this is the hoppiest thing ive ever drank, even more so than surly furious. though this is much thicker feeling, and at 11.5% abv, it will kick your ass. not something to drink 2 of in one night.

dark hazy amber pour, with a wicked soft floral hop aroma. Lots of sweet, juicy citrus, and a nice sweet maltiness. The flavor is well balanced between the malt, and the hops. Lots of great citrus notes from the hops, and touches of ripe fruits, some plum, maybe some raisin. Its quite well balanced, and the alcohol is nowhere to be found. A good amount of bittering in the finish, and a welcome hoppy aftertaste. Nice stuff. It’s quite close to a VERY hoppy barley wine, but not quite.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orangish copper with an off white frothy head. Great lacing. This is a beautiful brew consisting of a strong hop aroma. Each sip is heavenly. Thick body and perfect carbonation. Another fine brew from the boys at Flying Dog!!! Have another? You bet your ass!

Overall Impression: This is a strong one. Absolutely packed with hops. Definitely worth a taste, I’d definitely drink it again.

This Beer is AWESOME. Alcohol is actually pretty well hidden behind the malt and hops. Complex nose and taste, quite enjoyable. Four pack makes for a lively evening. Very well balanced and very tasty!!! Wonderfully hoppy and probably the best beer from Flying Dog!!!!!! WAY UNDERATTED!!!!!

Bottle. Pours orange amber with a decent off-white head. Nose is sweet tropical fruit and citrus hops. Flavor is an intense balance of citrus hops and caramel malt. Mouthfeel is nice, thick, and sticky. Nice citrus hop finish.

why explain what is obvious (to non-macro, non-snob micro) appreciators of brew? this is stellar stuff at all levels. hopheads and opposite will find much swamp and jungle to explore in this heady brew. remember: it’s virtually 12%...if you like bourbon, focus on the finish.....
