Commercial Description:
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

Hazy brown-amber with a small cap of beige head. Carbonation looks a little coarse. Brown sugar/caramel with big grapefruit and slight pineapple. Flavor is remarkably similar to eating ripe grapefruit. There are some accents of maple syrup and bread dough. Nice solid bitterness on the back of the palate, albeit with some astringency. Dry finish, body a shade over medium, no hint of alcohol. Nice drinkability.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium head of fair duration, with heavy lacing, over a slightly cloudy dark golden body......nose redolent of pine, resin, grapefruit, bit of bread.......tastes initially of very high malts then comes in balancing hops, grapefruit finish, linigering but not overly heavy bitterness....mouthfeel is heavy and chewy. It really isn’t a double IPA, more like a barley wine. Excellent balance given the amount of hop and malt that must have been used. I do like Rate Beers appellation of American Strong.

A hazy dark amber colored beer, with a thick beige head. The aroma of hop, hop and more hop. There are fruits like citrus and orange, some sweets in the back. The taste is hop bitter, some caramel, fruits like grapes. Sweets in the back. The after taste is bitter with some sweet and a little grassy.

Amber colored with a generous head. Nice hop smell. Nice strong and dark. Hoppy and bitter in the taste. Gets better and better as it gets closer to the bottom of the glass.

This has got to be about as good as it gets from Flying dog! Great candy sweet and floral aroma, lots of good hops. Plenty of hoppy flavor very piney. Not much head or lace but the flavor lets us forgive this I suppose. Preeeeeettty tasty.

Deep amber pour with a nice one finger head. Strong malt aroma other than that not much there. but the flavor is an ass kicker! Strong malt, raison, figs and a touch of sweetness and hops! Almost has an DIPA character to it. The alcohol is there but it still drinkable. I like this alot!

EAST COAST IPA’S RULE!!! This is the beer i’ve been looking for all my life. It tastes almost identical to Southern Tier UnEarthly, but has a slightly higher ABV and is much cheaper. 4x12oz for $10. At 11.5% alc, this beer is no joke. Extreme hop taste, balanced with a strong malt backbone. Long, bitter finish. Slight alcohol warming. Bitter. This is a great beer, one of the best i’ve ever had. And it’s price point makes it my favorite. Top notch. Bravo.

12 oz bottle @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Slightly cloudy amber color, lasting off-white head. Strong hoppy aroma with blackcurrant leaves. Full flavor with a huge hop hit, some grapefruit, alcohol and syrupy malts and a long, long bitter finish. Full body, medium carbonation. Quite a long distance from "quaffable".
