Oct 25, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours hazy, deep amber color with a medium size, white head, good lace. Smells syrupy malty sweet. A touch oxidized with some spicy hop aroma as well. Tastes oxidized, sweet malty with a good dose of medicinal, soicy hops. Tastes like a hoppy barleywine to me. Good dose of booze as well. Medium body, vibrant carbonation.

Hop resin and actual resin aroma. Tilted towards the extreme hops - pine, orangepeel, some wood, apricot retronasal, light alcohol burn. Medium body, oilly mouthfeel. Pine aftertaste. Dunno, just feels wildly unbalanced to me right now.

Aroma is full frontal citrus grapefruit, some caramel maltiness trying to hold it up.
Flavour is herbal-medicinal pine bitter hop up front, citrus tones and a hint of alc.
redeemed through a sweet toasted and caramel malt middle before a dry-ish citrus and pine finish.

Oct 13, 2008 OK I have had this at the original 750.
The is a medium amber color with no head. A ditrus fruit aroma some sweet malts and is mildly astringent. Taste is mainly pine with an astringent component.
The 12oz lacks any of the creaminess of the 750.

Oct 11, 2008 Bottle at EBF 08. Amber haze, thin beige head. Massive grapefruit hop aroma. Very hot on finish. Not exactly balanced, but that’s an extreme beer. Good juicy tangerine malt in the middle, but maybe too much alcohol burn on the finish. It does settle down a bit as you go on, Tangerine/mandarin flavours.
