| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Aroma is huge hop nose. Deep hazy amber with a small cream-color head. Plentiful lacings. Hop bomb, grapefruit rind, some sweet malts. Good double Pale Ale. Not something I would drink often. Almost like drinking a quality boilermaker due to the high abv. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2008 Pours a dark golden color. Medium thick blond head that lasts. Fragrant, floral hop aroma. Thick malts and bitter resiny hops. Warming alcohol and bitter hop and dry finish. RERATING: I’m upping the score because it got much better as it warmed up. MacAnUltaigh (45), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Particularly nice DPA. The aroma is very fragrant heavy fruity/floral scent and just enough malt, with licorice and resiny pine. Flavor is best described as the lovechild of a strong IPA and a fruity belgian trippel. Wonderful taste of figs, raisins, pine, citrus, licorice, white grapes and hot malt the palate both chalky and oily at the same time. The real winner here is the warm, boozy - in a good way - finish, with the ten-five staying hidden until the bitter end. Warms like a dry white wine. Better than I expected... I’ll buy again for sure. larsniclas (3386), Gothenburg, Sweden

Sweet and sticky.
Flowery citrus and loads of sweet maltiness; some caramelle/toffee.
Pretty dry and bitter in the end. MJGG (420), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 27, 2008 Pours a deep copper, clear w/ an off white head. Lacing throughout tasting. Aroma was a piney, citrusy and an earthy maltiness. Taste had a earthy malty backbone that let the hops showcase. Hops provided a piney, citrusy flavor to the brew. Medium bodied to oily texture. Aroma starts off with a highly aromatic hop and turns to a malty sweet aroma. Alcohol present at end that did not linger in the aftertaste. Well balanced brew between the hops, malt and alcohol.
