Commercial Description:
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dense amber with 3 cm of foamy off white head that is slowly diminishing. Aroma of citrus, alcohol, and malt. Initial flavor of slight sweet malts and tons of hops. Ends with nothing but citrus hops and alcohol. Moderate lacing, light carbonation, medium body, long aftertaste, obvious alcohol presence. Great beer, but after a few you could be in trouble with the alcohol content, so keep an eye on it.

Dark amber, medium sized head. Hoopy citrus aroma, hints of pine, vanilla, malt. Fresh C-hop flavor up front, very citrusy, alcohol flavor. Some malt flavor manages to peak through, but just barely. Some fruity and floral qualities toward end of glass. Very good.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a redish caramel-amber color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was strong spicy and fruity hops. Harsh and hot though. The flavor was tangy and harsh with strong floral and fruity hops. There was a hint of grapefruit and a lot of cough syrup.

I love this pale ale. It’s my favorite. I don’t know how a pale ale can have 85 IBUs, but I like it. Vey much like an IPA. It pours a dark orange, with an off white head that gives off a ....at first malty aroma then after another wiff, you can smell the hops some citrusy notes and flowery notes. The flavor is very intense both in pale malts and hops, but balanced with skill. Very hoppy to say the least, which is always pleasant.Very sweet as it warms a little. I smell and taste something I can’t put my finger on.... maybe some of the darker fruits you might think of. And it is very warm with 10.5 % ABV but Oh so smooth. Much props.

Pours medium amber with tan head. Nose has fruits such as grapefruit & fresh orange. Some bread-like aromas too. Big alcohol on the palate. Malt is significant too, but the enormous hops take over soon enough. Again the grapefruit comes forward, but there’s more malt than expected. Very slow drinking. Alcohol level is easily noticed, perhaps suggesting it is higher than what the bottle indicates.

4-pack from the liquor store next to Walgreen’s. I was surprised to find this there, so I had to swipe it. Pours 1 inch of tan head with the standard amber pale ale color. Lacing on the glass is thick and coating. Nose is piney, resinous hops. Flavors continue the hoppiness which are prevalent all over the mouth along with citrus and a bit of soap. A definite battle between sweet malts and bitter hops here. Deep alcoholic bites all around. Medium/high carbonation and full body. Good beer, but very standard and lacking in complexity.

bottle: pours with a huge head that is very foamy and white this sits apon a clear amber colour body. aroma is citrus hops, grapefruit, slight grassiness, some fresh pit fruit and slight malt.the flavour is a huge in your face citrus hops, bitterness and some burnt sugar malt. the finsihes is kinda hot with some more bitterness. this is just a little to over the top for me.
