Commercial Description:
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

Pours clear amber from the 12oz. bottle: Nose is hops (IPA style): earthy, grassy, citrusy, and floral. Flavors are similar, but with added caramel, brown sugar, and maybe some molasses. Oily with medium carbonation. The bitterness in this beer is right on. Drinkability: Moderate bitter with heavy hops. Pretty solid. Rebuy: Yes. #186 on 05112009, DG.

Pours a somewhat murky brown, almost like dirty water. It is not in an unappealing fashion, though. Nice 1" to 1 1/4" head that dissipates quickly. Smells of hoppiness and your grandma’s soap. Also, some iodine and bubblegum buried in there. Despite the off-putting nose this is a drinkable beverage. It’s got a nice balance to it that was unexpected. A little bit of sweetness in front that blends very nicely into the hops on the backside of it. Just a little hot on the end, though. Feels quite nice in the mouth. A little on the creamy side, with a bit of bite from the hops. As far as pale ales go this is very decent. If you’re into the hops, I’d recommend it to you. Personally, I don’t dig overly hoppy tastes. I could, and most likely will, drink many more of these. (As long as another bottle of stout doesn’t get in the way.)

Bottle picked up at a Aakjćrs, Esbjerg, Denmark, Oct 2009 consumed 26-10-09 Pours amber with a boiled sweet nose. There are hops though they are not overy present. Quite syrupy and thick in the mouth. Big hops actually do start to show, there is a slick bitterness in fact disregard my earlier hop comment this is actually quite hoppy and tasting more like an IPA rather than a pale, though it is rather sweet. Pale amber, small head. Citrusy and very, very sweet. Interesting but a bit much.

355 ml bottle. Slightly hazy reddish orange colour, thin white head. Citurs fruits, berries and plenty of hops in the aroma. The flavour is sweetish, malty, with nuts and citrus fruits, and a strongly bitter, lingering hoppy finish.

Red-brown beer with weak white head. Aroma is intensive fruitfull, grapefruit, some berries and hint of warming alcohol. Alcohol is disappear in the flavour, but you can feel nice warming feeling, strong fruitfull flavour combines to medium bitterness and turns into quite dry end. Full-bodied, slippery, sticky and overally very pleasant to drink. Great, strong, fruit-lovers wet beerdream.

Slapped in the face with hops. Strongest IPA I’ve had. Very tasty. Like the ABV.
