Commercial Description:
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

very nice! has some characteristics of a porter in terms of aroma, like a slightly darkened malt. color is perfect, if you can imagine the straw color of a regular pale ale.........squared! completely unbelieveable this is 11.5%! i didnt even plan to review this until i saw that, this is worthy of much respect for that if nothing else. nice slippery mouthfeel and tasty hops, both of which make this very IPA like.

This is a "big beer" not advisable at the end of the night. The alchol flavor was too much and not really enjoyable. nice balance of hops and barley though. i would like to try this again and i think that it would be better in a chalace.

Pours a deep amber with a nice, off-white head. Very hoppy aroma with citrus, pineapples, pine, and a bit of malt. Strong hop flavor with a caramel malt, a cloying sweet finish. A touch of alcohol, but it’s well-hidden. Mouthfeel is very full-bodied, with medium carbonation. This beer is excellent, everything you could want in and a perfect example of an IIPA.

Pours amber with a large foamy beige head. Great fresh hop aroma, lots of pineapple, actually smells like a canned pineapples, and some caramel malt...3F like freshness! Stinging bitter hop flavor with a sweet and very smooth malt base, juicy. Loads pineapple and grapefruit too. Some alcohol but nothing too annoying. Its like an Alpha King with a much richer malt/fuller base. Smooth palate, slightly fluffy, somewhat watery and a tiny bit sticky. Yum yum yum yum... and yea I got a pretty fresh bottle =) this stuff is daaaaaamn good =)

Pours a dark copper color with a fizzy, two-finger head. Can definitely smell the alcohol with a lot of hoppy undertones. Definitely a full-bodied beer with lots of hops. Alcohol was definitely there but not overpowering. Reminded me a lot of their Horn Dog Barley Wine. Defintely like this beer and will be buying it again.

Bottle, Kegs & Barrels, McKinney, TX. Poured a cloudy, sediment full deep dark amber with thick, frothy off-white head that laced the glass. Aroma of pure hops, as if you opened a fresh bag of high alpha hops, wow. Flavor, outstanding.....This single beer make me finnaly love IPA’s......I did the begginer’s IPA’s, I think I finally graduated....This is bad ass!!!! Have I gotten to the flavor yet?? No....Flavor is high malt sweetness, Hoppy flavor and bitterness to match....Palate was GREAT! Full body and I think low to medium carbonation, Im not sure, the alcohol spice was keeping my tounge busy when the hops were through with their playing field......Damned....This was a GREAT IPA.....I thought I wasn’t a fan.......I believe I am now....where is the Dogfish head 120 when I need it????
