Beer_Hawk (759), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Apr 30, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear amber with a creamy off-white (almost yellow) head that is lasting and leaving good lacing. Big citrus hops in the aroma backed with pine and light malts and maybe some fruit. Nice pine flavor with a large caramel backing. Medium body. Moderate bitterness. Highly recommend. (Rating from Sept ’07)
redlem (1108), Illinois, USA Oct 13, 2008 OK I have had this at the original 750.
The is a medium amber color with no head. A ditrus fruit aroma some sweet malts and is mildly astringent. Taste is mainly pine with an astringent component.
The 12oz lacks any of the creaminess of the 750. harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 11, 2008 Bottle at EBF 08. Amber haze, thin beige head. Massive grapefruit hop aroma. Very hot on finish. Not exactly balanced, but that’s an extreme beer. Good juicy tangerine malt in the middle, but maybe too much alcohol burn on the finish. It does settle down a bit as you go on, Tangerine/mandarin flavours. thefle (26), , New Jersey, USA Oct 10, 2008 WOW, this is a TOUGH beer. Hoptastic taste busts your ass. well either that or the 11.5% abv, i can’t quite tell. There is a very full taste to it that can’t quite decribe that is different from most double IPA’s. This beer definitely will be in my rotation for a while dolemite77 (170), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Oct 9, 2008 Aroma is sweet hoppy goodness... pours a hazy orange/amber with minimal head. Lacing is extreme on this one. Flavor is hoppy as anything I’ve had in a while. There is a strong bit of sweetness to this one as well. It’s almost like a sweeter version of Stone Arrogant Bastard. The swallow is dry and bitter. Excellent display of American hops. Rciesla (897), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber body with light tan head. A lightly sweet malty beer with lots of etoh coming through with some hop character but not what you’d expect in an IPA.
