Pours a golden orange color with a big white head. Fruity citrus peel and pine aroma. Flavor is malty and somewhat sweet at the forefront and then overwhelmed with hops. Very high hop bitterness with lots of pine, flower and citrus peel flavors. Alcohol is noticeable but not overly so. After awhile this beer overwhelms the palate and becomes harder to drink. This should be reserved for only the hardcore hopheads. One bottle of this and you could be done for the night.

WOW, this is a TOUGH beer. Hoptastic taste busts your ass. well either that or the 11.5% abv, i can’t quite tell. There is a very full taste to it that can’t quite decribe that is different from most double IPA’s. This beer definitely will be in my rotation for a while

Aroma is sweet hoppy goodness... pours a hazy orange/amber with minimal head. Lacing is extreme on this one. Flavor is hoppy as anything I’ve had in a while. There is a strong bit of sweetness to this one as well. It’s almost like a sweeter version of Stone Arrogant Bastard. The swallow is dry and bitter. Excellent display of American hops.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with light tan head. A lightly sweet malty beer with lots of etoh coming through with some hop character but not what you’d expect in an IPA.

Aroma is mostly hops with an earthy orange hint. pour is light amber with a massive creamy off-white head. Taste is hoppy and citrusy and very bitter... the after taste is very nice - lots of great flavors- alcohol burn is a bit much but then I noticed the ABV. The website says 10.5% but my bottle says 11.5%. Certainly not your typical Double Pale Ale - more like Double IPA meets Barley Wine?? All around a nice brew. Just be sure you are in the mood for a strong one!

Bottle@Home, label says 11.5% ABV. Strong fruity and floral aroma with some grassy notes. Clear, dull amber, yellowish head, good lace. Sweet, very bitter, very herbal and grassy, more sweetness in the finish but this is hidden by the bitterness. Very sticky, yet dry hop mouthfeel in the end. More like a Barley Wine than a Double IPA.
