Commercial Description:
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

The range of these Dawgs has finally hit the Aussie shoreline. So while we are girt by sea at least some of these new brews from Obamaland are getting in. I wish those who claim American beers to be meek and pissweak could wrap their brains around this one. It looks great in the Duvel glass that is made for this. Plenty of room to swirl the beer and release its hoppy aroma. Caramel notes are also present in abundance which comes out in the taste and mouthfeel. This is not unbalanced at all even though the ABV is formidable. Apart from the wacko label this is a fine beer indeed.

Half a 12 ounce bottle in snifter. Vintage 2008. Golden orange with ring and some lace. Pine orange biscuit yeast alcohol aroma. Toasted biscuit orange marmalade tobacco with assertive bitter piney hop finish and lingering alcohol flavor and heat. Altogether not bad but too strong. Alcohol is not a good flavor.

Pours red gold with a foamy white head. Smells fresh, of sugar and spicy hops. Tastes of grassy hops and alcohol with a bitter finish.

Bottle. Murky orange color, little head. Aroma is bitter with citric hops, an alcoholic touch. Flavor has grapefruit, grass and malts in it. A very thick, almost oily mouthfeel dominates the brew. The high ABV leaves an alcoholic aftertaste.

( 12 ounce bottle - pint glass) Pours a dark orange color with an off white head, which leads to a medium to thick lacing. Has a floral citrus aroma. Taste is hoppy. Grapefruit citrus floral and lightly pine bite. Also has toffee notes in it too. The mouthfeel has a thick body and an oily texture. If you like really hoppy ipa’s you should give this a try.

Pours cloudy brown with a small head. Aroma is a field of floral hops with a bit of caramel malt mixed in. Mouth feel is thick but has a good amount of carbonation. Flavor is yummy with flavor hops in the foreground and enough sweet malt to balance.

Very orange in appearance. Aroma is cloyingly swee, but alsovery bitter. Flavour is huge: sweet, citrusy and very, very bitter. Slight alcoholic on the palate. Very full-mouthed, leaves you slightly decimated. Awesome.
