750 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber in color with no head. The aroma is of a light whiskey (vanilla/oak mix). There is a big flavor of sweet malts, vanilla, and oak. This DB has almost a sherry like character in the warm finish. It is really well balanced. Well worth the hefty price tag if you can get your hands on it. It is a really limited production, only 5000 bottles or so.

On cask at Flying Dog. Deep hazy copper in color with no head. It was poured off a firkin and there was no carbonation. Vanilla woody aroma. Woody oak malty flavor. Vanilla and tart notes. Medium bodied. Finish is woody. Decent.

Cask @ Flying Dog. Poured a slightly hazed amber color. The aroma was of whiskey and vanilla. Malty with some estery undertones. The flavor is a mix of whiskey, wood, esters and malt. Hint of tartness. Light to medium bodied.

opaque burnt orange, sweet fruity candy malt aroma, nice sweet malty flavor, candy character is offset the the oaky character, hint of whisky only in the sweetness, light bitterness grows out of the oak,

Deep copper pour no carbonation, tiny soapy head. Big sweet aroma, lots of carmels, some butters a hot acididc hop w/ a touch of whiskey and wood. Avg Pal. Real light whiskey w/ sweet vanillas, light oak, lots of carmels, a touch of wheaty grains. I like it much better than the regular version.
