Sammy (2959), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 4, 2008 Yellow with fluffy white bubbly head. Neutral smell. High carbonation. Some creaminess on tonge, lace, above average mouthfeel. A tad of hop. But fairly weak taste for the style.
grandet (300), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bottle. Poured a yellowish color with a small white head. Aroma is very dry and yeasty. Some earthy aromas mixed in as well. Taste is very dry and earthy. light hops hidden well. Very earthy. Not great. jzzbassman (665), New Albany, Mississippi, USA Jul 13, 2008 Pale gold with a quickly gone head. Aroma is a light biscuit, with a bit of pepper. Light hops, not that sweet, a bit forgettable but unobjectionable. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 12, 2008 12 oz bottle-pours a thin white head with yellow/gold color with effervescence. Aroma is dry, yeasty, slight musty, grain/husky. Taste is slightly sweet light malt/grain/husky, dry yeasty, slightly musty. Some continental hops bite. Lager-ish blended with some mild Biere de Garde. So it’s kind of at the border of the style, but nice. OK carbonation. drfabulous (658), Columbia, Missouri, USA Jul 11, 2008 Wow. What a letdown. Almost no taste other than being a bad pale ale. There is no biere de garde in this one. Too bad since they make a great imperial porter. Big disappointment. jason (1473), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 11, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark ornage bodyw ith thin head. Aroma was very faint, some yeast and spices noted. Flavor is lightly earthy, yeast, orange peel and some other spices that I had a tough time to tell what they were, or flavor, because everything in this beer was very faint and forgettable. I wouldn’t say this is a bad beer but it has nothin going for it.
