Commercial Description:
“Garde Dog” Biere de Garde is unfiltered with a hazy, deep golden to light copper appearance. Brewed with domestically grown French Hops and German Pilsner Malts, it gives craft beer drinkers a very enjoyable, light-bodied, subtlety sweet beer with toasty malt undertones. Garde Dog is the perfect compleiment to lighter fare such as seafood, salads, cheese and Middle Eastern and Indian foods

Bottled. Aroma has grass, some flowers, some maltiness. Slightly hazy, yellow coloured beer with a thin white, lasting head. The taste is a bit sweet, slightly bitter, bit grassy, bit fruity. Medium bodied. Okay beer.

Bottle. the head is reduced to a small white ring. Hazy yellow body. Sweet fruity honey flower aroma. Mild and sweet fruity flavor with honey notes, little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long sweet aftertaste. Refreshing but a bit watery.

From a 12 oz bottle this pours a cloudy gold with no head or lacing. Aroma of grasses, wheat and some fruit. Taste is grassy with some apple flavor - almost like this beer has been infused with Apple Juice - has the sour finish you would associate with apples as well. Decent beer for a hot day but not one I would drink regularly.

12 oz bottle: Aroma is a bit tart, dried fruit, lightly malty, and some nice spice notes. Appearance is a clear straw color with a medium white head that diminishes into a soapy white film. Taste is lightly tart apple, some subtle hops and rather smooth. Palate is got an initial lively carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering light sweetness in the aftertaste. Overall, It’s alright. A really nice summer beer for a hot day. Cheers!

Bottle. Small, fizzy white head that recedes. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma of caramel, toasted malt, pepper, spice and flowers. The sweetness (corn syrupy like), though not over powering, overshadows the hops in the flavor which is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Light to medium body with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Rough around the edges and a bit disjointed.

You can tell a lot of thought went ito this effort, unfortunately it fell short of its goal. Some spices and citrus, but a bit watery and fleeting.

Bottled at Sorbon, Bromma, Stockholm. Lightly hazy golden, fairly small head. Fruity banana aroma. Sweet and fruity with bubblegum, paper and apples as well as overripe banana and toffee. Medium bodied with near no bitterness. More if a weizen than a bière de garde. Rather sketchy and a bit sloppy.
