Commercial Description:
“Garde Dog” Biere de Garde is unfiltered with a hazy, deep golden to light copper appearance. Brewed with domestically grown French Hops and German Pilsner Malts, it gives craft beer drinkers a very enjoyable, light-bodied, subtlety sweet beer with toasty malt undertones. Garde Dog is the perfect compleiment to lighter fare such as seafood, salads, cheese and Middle Eastern and Indian foods

Light nice golden color. Light bodied. My first beer of this style. A bit of honey, oat, straw, apple in the aroma. Flavor does not deliver nicely though like the aroma would lead you to believe. Leaves the palate rather quickly with no real aftertaste. Very different from anything I have had thus far, but I am defnitely not going to be a big fan of this style i don’t think, maybe should revisit with a higher rated style.

Bottled at Sorbon, Bromma, Sweden. Pours out in a clear dark golden colour with a low firm white foam. Mellow aroma of caramel, grass, caramel and honey. Medium to light-bodied with notes of caramel, nuts, straw, rubber and honey. Short finish of straw and caramel.

glass at Tyler’s Apex. Ok aroma, spicy sweet. Coriander, fruit, apple, berry, banana. Clean orangy gold color, small head, little to no lace. . Sweet spice flavor. Medium body, syrupy mouth feel, dry finish that faded quickly. Ok, but didn’t have a characteristic that drew me in, took a while to finish.

Was pleasantly surprised by this. A lot like a Belgian tripel, but thinner. Average head. The initial taste was very floral and winelike but then there’s a strange kind of overbearing flavor, then it goes away. Solid beer.

Hazy pale golden color, small white head. Dry, apple, malty scent. Fruity malty, a bit dry taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Bottle, while by no means an expert on the style, this was not a great brew or good example of the style, it poured a hazy golden color, a bit two sugary sweet, lots of banana and lemon. It didn’t have a distinctive farm flavor that I like in the style also alcohol was present, as well as being watery. There are quite a few Flying Dog brews I prefer to this one.
