Commercial Description:
“Garde Dog” Biere de Garde is unfiltered with a hazy, deep golden to light copper appearance. Brewed with domestically grown French Hops and German Pilsner Malts, it gives craft beer drinkers a very enjoyable, light-bodied, subtlety sweet beer with toasty malt undertones. Garde Dog is the perfect compleiment to lighter fare such as seafood, salads, cheese and Middle Eastern and Indian foods

Bierkoning. Golden body with almost no head. Nice citrus nose. A sweet and malty flavour (toasty indeed) with fruits and sugar coming through. I really liked this because it is mellow and not too strong and thought it much superiour to the French Bier de Gardes that I’ve sampled. Underrated, as far as I’m concerned.

12oz bottle from Utobeer, at home. Yellowy amber with a small white head. Aroma is quite like a tripel - lots of soft citrus, wheat & spices. Flavour is sweet, a bit fruity and not unpleasant, but it doesn’t really impress. Palate is ok but overall this does nothing wrong yet somehow isn’t a beer I’d return to.

Golden/orange pour with a small head and not much of an aroma....maybe a slight sweetnesss to it and that is about it. Wonderful flavor though. Touch of sweet fruit up fromt.....but then a wood and smokey flavor. Very quaffable and enjoyable. I likes.

Slight hazy gold with a thin head. Smells wheaty and spicy. Weird sour wheat taste with some apple juice like qualities.

12oz bottle. Golden orange color with a slight haze. No real lasting head, medium carbonation. Some tangy orange-lemony bittersweetness. Slightly sour. Not unenjoyable, but certainly misses the mark stylistically. An interesting spring beer, crisp and tangy.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a clear yellow with a small white head and fresh sourish aroma with hints of malts and ripe fruits. The flavour is caramel, acid, white grapes, applejuice, wheat and hops. This is somewhere between a watered down malt liquor and a Belgian white, not a biere de garde.

Crisp, spicy aroma. Hints of clove/cinnamon, wheat, malt and yeast. Flavor is crisp with yeast, wheat and grass. Yeast provides an underlying funkiness, almost similar to Brett.
