| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy copper, small white head that disappears almost immediately. Nose is slightly fruity, wheaty, and sweet. The sugar and barley are less pronounced in the flavor; pretty standard. Not that bad, but I’ve come to expect better of Flying Dog. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2008 12 oz bottle. Very hazy pale yellow. The aroma is initially fairly malty with a lot of soft bready/crackery pilsner malt. Light herbal hoppiness with a touch of light berryish sweetness as well. The bitterness is fairly flinty with just a little bit of light dustiness. There is a bit of peachy flavour as it starts to warm, but in general this quality is restrained. It’s not great, but it is nowhere near as bad as the number would suggest. More like a light English/Belgian ale, but it’s still pretty drinkable. bhensonb (4306), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 16, 2008 Bottle from Sun Devil, in Mesa, AZ. Orange tinged golden color with a massive off-white head. Aromas of biscuit and spicy hop. Medium body with frithy carbonation. Flavor is bready, citrusy and very lightly funky. It tickles the mouth. Finish is dry, though not all that bitter. Many French versions are better, but this is a very good American approach. 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Likely tap as the rating was in my phone. The beer pours to a pale straw body that’s really filtered with a thin creamy white head. The flavor is heavily to style and has a bready silage and basement thin going on. The aroma is bready with a light grass hop. The palate is mouthwatering and long lasting grain thing with a light tartness. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 23, 2008 Bottle: Pours with a slight haze to the golden color and a film of white head. The aroma is fairly sweet with decent malt presence- a bit nutty with a touch of butterscotch in the background and some grassy European hops. Light bodied. The flavor has a light vanilla sweetness and a nutty presence throughout. Softly malty with a biscuit touch and a hint of diacetyl with more nuttiness into the finish. Could be cleaner, and does have some apparent off flavors, but it’s better than the ratings suggest. grandridge (222), Port Clinton, Ohio, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Sep 21, 2008 Appearance is almost transparent golden with a light white head that dissipates fast. The Aroma is weak not much going on here. Some barnyard funk and some sweetness from the malt but very average and weak for the style. Taste is weak, almost like a macro in it’s flavor. Strange bitter aftertaste that’s not pleasant. Smooth drinking but watery mouthfeel reminiscent of a macro. Not worth the price would never buy this again. radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber color. Aroma is yeast, malts, and banana. Flavor is a nice spicy yeast flavor. A quite enjoyable beverage to drink on a cool spring day. taalhiker (179), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Barely hazy yellow with decent white head. Very little aroma with sweet spiciness. Looking for a session beer? Keep looking.
