Commercial Description:
“Garde Dog” Biere de Garde is unfiltered with a hazy, deep golden to light copper appearance. Brewed with domestically grown French Hops and German Pilsner Malts, it gives craft beer drinkers a very enjoyable, light-bodied, subtlety sweet beer with toasty malt undertones. Garde Dog is the perfect compleiment to lighter fare such as seafood, salads, cheese and Middle Eastern and Indian foods

Poured a light copper, moderately carbonated, moderately clear, with a thin head that disappeared quickly. All-malt but not too strong of a smell at all. It was tart and fizzy in the mouth, tasted very malty, and finishes only slightly tart. Pretty thin bodied and drinkable, but not much to it. Just seems like a very average beer.

Montgomery, Al - World Market 12 oz bottle part of a "Beers of Summer" 10-pack. Sparkling medium golden pour with a creamy white head. Wort-like aroma with some hints of toffee. Flavor has some buttery back-end notes, some raisins, caramel and toffee - all blended together well. Mouthfeel is thick, yet creamy and refreshing. Overall, a decent entry from Flying Dog.

nice and light, good on a summer day. more malty than hoppy, and not especially malty.

bottle 12 oz. Pours yellow ish haze. Nose is slight grain and hop but with spice. The whole concoction is not what a biere de garde is but is a general direction to the style.

quite refreshing, the malts are nice and sweet. less hops but the rest works real well in term of a nice drinkable beer.

The aroma is dusty and old but has some nice malt, grass, and some corn. The yeast is the only other element. The appearance is pale gold with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s drinkable but that is about it.

Golden colored, thin head and a grassy, malty aroma. Sweet malty flavor, spices, with some hop bitterness towards the finish. A touch dry. Full enough mouthfeel and refreshing. Not bad.

Bottle. I was disappointed with this one. It can be described as overall "light". Very light aroma, color, and taste. Nothing stands out at all. However, it is refreshing and has a clean crisp finish.
