Commercial Description:
“Garde Dog” Biere de Garde is unfiltered with a hazy, deep golden to light copper appearance. Brewed with domestically grown French Hops and German Pilsner Malts, it gives craft beer drinkers a very enjoyable, light-bodied, subtlety sweet beer with toasty malt undertones. Garde Dog is the perfect compleiment to lighter fare such as seafood, salads, cheese and Middle Eastern and Indian foods

12oz bottle. Pours clear gold with dimishing white head, decent lacing. Aroma is light, flavor is light, the spices differ it from a lager. Didn’t really represent the style well. Everything is working, but would like to see more of it.

Light yellow color with small white head and no lacing. Aroma and flavor are light and sweet with strong malts. Good summer beer. Better than a pale lager at least

12 oz bottle. Clear gold with a white head. Sweet, malty nose, caramel and honey, some mild floral notes. Light side of medium bodied. Light flavors of spicy apple, honey and earth. How is this a Biere de Garde? Not really too bad as a mild sessionable beer, though. Meh.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear gold, little to no head. Light aroma - maybe some fruit. Taste is light as well, pretty easy to drink actually, some light malt.

Poured golden with a thin head. Very faint aroma. Taste was light malt, maybe roast malt, bready with some bitterness. Nothing spectacular, but not offensive.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden with a medium white head that leaves some lacing.

The aroma is wheat, a little fruit, and some vegetal malts with some metallic floral hops.

The flavor is rather macro-ish. It’s sweet corny malts with a slight bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with sharp carbonation.

Overall, a cool name and label, but not a very good beer. It tastes like an above average macro.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light copper body with a thin, white head. Very much apple juice in appearance. Smell: Smells like apple juice, too! Maybe a bit of pear in there as well, like the juice drained from a can of diced fruit. Taste: Light, delicate maltiness and medium sweetness. Sprizty fruit juices. Mild bitterness. Very faint yeastiness. Very much apple juice in the finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Unfortunately, this one’s a very forgettable bière de garde. Nothing worth garde-ing here.
