Commercial Description:
“Garde Dog” Biere de Garde is unfiltered with a hazy, deep golden to light copper appearance. Brewed with domestically grown French Hops and German Pilsner Malts, it gives craft beer drinkers a very enjoyable, light-bodied, subtlety sweet beer with toasty malt undertones. Garde Dog is the perfect compleiment to lighter fare such as seafood, salads, cheese and Middle Eastern and Indian foods

Bottle. Pours golden with nice citrus smell. Taste is light with subtle wheat flavor. Not my favorite style, but one of the better beers in the pack.

Bottle. Pours hazy deep gold. Hmmm... not really tasting the malt that I expected from the style. More somewhere in between a saison and a hefe. Some bubblegum, esters, and banana. Mild yeast. Citrus. Mild hops. Something thin about the finish. Light body. Malt is subtle on the finish. This isn’t that bad at all.

Cloudy pale yellow, semi sweet fruity somewhat metallic aroma. Semi sweet with a well balanced light bitterness. Light and refreshing.

This pours with a clearer, lighter golden color for a farmhouse ale. The flavor is that of a the distinct "saisonesque" taste characteristic of those wild March yeasts floating around I guess. Not a bad beer, but not excellent either.

Draft. Poured an amber with a smallish head. Aroma was a bit of fruit. Not as bad as advertised, here.

A little hazy golden colored beer, with a thick white head. It disappears quickly. The aroma of fruits, citrus with bubblegums. some malts. Thetaste has a small bitter with sweet cookies. There are hints of spices. The aftertaste is mostly sweet with a small bitter.

Bottle from Utobeer. Hazy gold, lasting off white head. Yeasty aroma. Some citrusy fruit aroma too. Reminds me definitely of some of the better French biere de gardes. In fact its very good with good yeast character, decent malts and then some very good hops on the end, which are balancing citrusy orangey hops rather than big dumb stupid American ones. Really very drinkable and I liked it very much.

Bottled. Aroma has grass, some flowers, some maltiness. Slightly hazy, yellow coloured beer with a thin white, lasting head. The taste is a bit sweet, slightly bitter, bit grassy, bit fruity. Medium bodied. Okay beer.
