15 Nov 2008: Black, with lots of creamy brown foam. Aroma: Roasted malt. Very carbonized palate. Very intensive sweet malt with coffe/chockolate. Very bitter, IBU 85, but does not really taste very bitter. Nice label.

Shared with Pyrozoid. Pitch black poor with a frothy brown head. Aromas of cedar, chocolate, molasses, roastes hazlenuts, sea salt, dates. Salty, creamy, lactose with a good bitter profile and ok sweetness. Heavy body with slight carbonation. Added flavors of toffee, coffee and a hint of mint. Complexe aromas and flavors... yet for some reason it was lacking a little je ne sais quoi in regards to mouthfeel.

Bouteille de 33 cl. Deguste avec french tickler. Une biere de couleur noir avec un mince collet brun moyennement collant. Odeur de cedre, chocolat, epinette. Gout un peu chocolate, fudge, cafe il semble manquer quelque chose.

Bottle from Olbutikken Copenhagen. Pours black with a dark brown head, if the head would have been more long lasting Id rate the apearence as a 5. The aroma is sweet with lots of roasted malts and coffe.

Smoky roasted malt flavour. Rich and complex smooth full body liquorice touch easy drinking great beer

A very nice rich molasses and chocolate taste and feel. Smooth, med carbination. very easy to drink

Deep black color pour with red highlights and a small creamy brown head. Smoky malt, roasted coffee, molasses and chocolate in the aroma. Flavor is coffee and dark chocolate. Smooth and full on the palate. A hint of warming alcohol on the finish. Thats a good brew!

The color of blackstrap molasses. Full, dense head of foam. Pretty. Smells of dark chocolate, soy sauce, malt, molasses and dates. some tobacco. The mouthfeel is full, oily and quite seductive. Tastes of Dark chocolate, espresso, salt, peanuts, well placed bitterness and an ever so slight touch of alcohol. an extremely enjoyable and well made beer. Very drinkable for its size.
