Commercial Description:
Heller Hound Bock is a crisp and malty Maibock, brewed with a special combination of Vienna and Munich malts. With a rich mouth feel and a subtle hop finish this is the perfect brew for toasting the sun's return.

Draught: Maybe the keg was old, but a light brown/amber thin white head, sweet caramel, nutty, malty, and kinda spicy, it was ok.

Pours a hazy medium yellow. Aromas of malt, caramel, and some floral. Flavor malty and spicy with some nice hop bite.

Heller Hound has a floral aroma. The color is a clear golden but, the head is small and short lasting. There is no lacing. Some malty sweetness can be detected but the finish is stongly hoppy. The aftertaste of the hops builds pleasently without being overbearing.

Pours golden with a mostly receding head. Aroma is sweetish malts, sugar, bubble gum. Tasting is cloying with clashing bitterness and a pervading staleness. In the finish I taste the salty licorice that Ompher mentions, can’t say I enjoy it. This is just too sweet for a lager.

Sample at the Decatur Beer Festival. Nice beer but not the time of year. Pours a cloudy golden color with white head. Sweet and citrusy elements. Lots of carbonation. Reminds me of a belgian tripel.

12 oz bottle from a mixed 12 pack. 193A05 on lower right corner.
Pours hazy golden, with a thick fluffy head. thick sheets of lace coat the glass.
Malty aroma, bready, toffee, maybe some bubblegum in there too.
Favor is sweet, vanilla and honey with just a little hops in the finish.

Tasted 9/28 Blake St. Tavern, Denver. Sweet and smooth flavor. Good malt note. Very effervescent. Great blance between the malts and hops.

Not my style. Appearance was okay but the nose was lacking and so was the finish.
