Clear, pale bronze color, with an thick, creamy, solid head of foam.
Aroma: malty, herbal, vegetal, smelling of adjuncts.
Taste: hardly there, just a bit of sweetness, approaches the palate meekly, then fades fast away. Light bodied, with a mere whisper of flavor, hardly any finish to speak of, ...way too boring.
Chased this bland bottle with a zingier, tastier maibock from Summit and compared it with Town Hall’s deliciousness released just yesterday...Heller hound, why can’t you be more like them? ElJefe (553), Rochester, New York, USA

Flavor is very malty, yeasty and full of molasses. A little more over than top than other Flying Dogs. Turns a bit cloying near the end, the sweetness kind of overwhelms you. Not the best that Flying Dog has offered. MMM...Beer (385), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

-Aroma: Nice kick of hops with a slight hint of toasted malt
-Appearance: Soft copper
-Flavor: Simple yet pleasantly refreshing
-Palate: Nice spiciness on the palate due to the hop residue
-Overall: Okay but definitely not Flying Dog’s best.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2004 Medium-light golden color with a medium-sized white head that mostly goes away. Aroma both malty and hoppy. After warming to room temperature, flavor is a little buttery up front, and then there’s a solid hit of almost bitter malts followed by pleanty of not-so-bitter hops, though they certainly are present. Slight alcohol warmth and flavor. Just a touch syrupy. Typical Flying Dog: Pretty tasty but not approaching world-class. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours the color of your first piss after taking a Centrum multi-vitamin. Aroma of malt, hops, citrus, fruit. Very IPAish aroma. Tastes malty, hoppy, with some citrus and light fruit. Light to medium palate. Hoss (602), Florida, USA

This was a hazy honey colored beer with almost no head, and very little aroma.
No real strong flavor comes out in this, a slight bitterness and some mouthfeel to let you know it wasn’t a lite beer.
Flying Dog makes some better beers, and lots of brewers make better Bocks than this one.
