Commercial Description:
Big malty flavors, including licorice and chocolate, are balanced with a moderate hop profile. Brewed with copious amounts of prized malts and flaked oats, the Barley Wine is so strong that it has to be aged for several months before we can bottle it. Like a fine wine, it will continue to improve with age up to 2 years after bottling (If kept cool).

Bottle. Got this as a freebie after WBF but did not enjoy this beer at all, maybe should retry it.

Poured from Bottle into Snifter glass. Pours a deep mahogany color with a very faint tan-colored head that quickly dissolves into a fine ring around the glass. Aroma is dominated with dried fruits and accompanied with some toasty malts and a little booze. Flavors has plenty of sticky malt and dried raisins. Not much alcohol is detected in the flavor but the flavors do stop short. Its a full to medium bodied beer and has a light carbonation. Decent Barleywine.

Not too much going on with this beer, just a below average barley wine. Poured dark with a slight copper tint and minimal head. Nothing special.

It has a dark red pour with a small dissapearing off white head. The aroma is of berries, bread, caramel, and alcohol. The taste is sweet with caramel, berries, and has a medium hoppy finish. Almost too sweet for my taste with a lower level of complexity, but not bad at all.

Bottle. Good caramelly sugar aroma, some alcohol, hint of grassy hops. Deep dark red/brown with small floaties. The flavour is very sweet, caramelly, slightly roasted. Slightly rough finish, probably both from alcohol and hops, but good. Too sweet, though.

Served at near room temp, strong aromas of raw alcohol, figs, wood and molasses. Dark tawny, persistent white head refused to give up. Very sweet, ruby port notes with spiked red fruit, but that’s where it ends. Finishes clean with only the warmth of alcohol.

Brown, unclear. Diminishing yellow head. Good carbonation. Malty sweet aroma and flavour. Raisins, dades. Hides the ABV very well. Notes of hops in the finish. SUgar sticky palate.
