carruthm (1109), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 23, 2009 pours a dark red/brown. aroma of alcohol. taste was balanced sweetness with malt and slight bitterness. very drinkable. trevor211 (500), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 22, 2009 I was super-impressed with this one. 07 vintage, on tap at Brouwer’s Hard Liver 09. Pours a medium copper color with a thin head. Honestly tastes like Angel’s Share’s younger sibling. It has the same fantastic balance, with powerful notes of malts and hops. Tastes much darker than it looks. I’m impressed. jfenglish (198), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 20, 2009 Bottle. Basketball-orange brown. Head dissipates quickly. Aroma is packed with booze, hops, spice, earthy and even some floral and dried cherry. Flavor of hops right away, and some malt and caramel along for the ride. Not overly sweet and just a touch of toasted malts at the end. Complex and rich. JensenTaster (1585), Denmark Mar 13, 2009 (on bottle)Short hoppy nose and a whif of alohol, withheld, yet promising powerfull sent. Hazy dark orange, small head. The malts are more dominating in the taste and put a lid on the hops in the finish too. There are fruity notes, but the floresent aromas, taste and finish isen´t that complex, a fine hopped BW.
