Commercial Description:
Big malty flavors, including licorice and chocolate, are balanced with a moderate hop profile. Brewed with copious amounts of prized malts and flaked oats, the Barley Wine is so strong that it has to be aged for several months before we can bottle it. Like a fine wine, it will continue to improve with age up to 2 years after bottling (If kept cool).

consensus here amongst buds is a very user friendly barley wine. Cant think of a more balanced barley wine than this. Poured with a nice head an plenty a lace. Pleasing rich dark amber color. Fruity bittersweet. Balanced. A tad boozy in the finish. N ’ats it.

Kind of a let down here. Maybe a good intro Barleywine, but everything is just too muted. I just like big beers, and this isn’t one. Everything you love ina barleywine, but toned way down. Malt backbone, hop profile. Very smooth and drinkable, just not what I want in a BW.

This is probably my least favorite style, but this is tolerable. Aroma is dark fruit, molasses, caramel and BOOZE. Very smooth malty taste on the tongue with little carbonation. Very dry biting finish. Decent overall for the style.

Bottle 35,5cl. Brown/orange and slightly hazy body with a small fast of white head. Sweet caramel, hops and alcohol in the nose. Fat full body dominated by caramel and alcohol. Alcohol dominates the finish but in a nice warm way along with some hops.

Dark brown pour with a thin fizzy tan head. Aroma of alcohol, dark beyond-ripe fruit, and raisins. Flavor is malt, raisin puree and alcohol. Not a good barley wine, in my humble opinion.

Bottle labeld VINTAGE07BB. Pours dark brown, and cludy with a thin head and a little bit of lacing. Very malty aroma, smells a little like figs. The alchohol smell is strong. Thick and slightly sticky body. Sweet tasting and malty up front, with hints of fig, rasins, and molasses. There are some citrus tasting hops, but they are very understated in the flavor, though there is some bitterness. Most of the flavor really waits to jump out until the after taste.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown beer. The aroma is deeply malty and rich and the flavour is rich, vinous and malty. Overall a good strong beer.
