Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Bottle. Pours cloudy golden with a medium head. Clove and banana aroma as appropriate. A touch of citrus flavours freshens up in between banana and spices. Full-bodied and medium carbonation. A solid and well-made hefeweizen.

12 oz. bottle. Poured a dark hazy golden hue typical of the hefe with a decent creamy head. Aromas of wheat, some banana esters, clove, and a touch of lemony citrus. Initial is vaguely banana esters, clove, with some wheaty notes and a touch of citrus and vanilla on the backend / finish. Finishes smooth. A decent hefe. Cheers!

Another nondescript hefeweizen. Good but not great. Cloves, wheat, yeast, coriander, bread, and even bananas.

Unclear, dark golden with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma has notes of clove, a very light sourness, wheat and hints of banana. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of clove, light banana and wheat. It’s true to the style and quite OK, but IMO the clove is a bit too dominant, the finer banana and wheat notes are too subdued.

Pours hazy gold into a weizen. Hefty pour produced very litty head that quickly dissipated. Banana and yeast aromas. Crisp and fruity with a lasting clove finish.

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow with a nice head. The aroma was typical of the Hefe, yeasty and fruity. The flavor was corriander, spice, banana, yeast and bread. The important flavors that make up the Hefe style were not as present as they should be. This is the easier drinking variety, just lacks a bit of quality to be so.

Pours with a quick settling head. Hazy golen color. Smells of corriander and spice. Tastes similar to the smell. I guess I have soft spot for this taste.
